This painting was inspired based on how we mask our pain for no other to see. Life is not a picnic but we portray as is. You don’t need to know how I truly live! You don’t need to know that I’m screaming with frustration! You don’t need to know the sorrow that lingers over me! You don’t need to know that my own shadow is hiding from me! But you now need to know that I’m sick and tired of portraying who you want me to be! I will now uncover my mask to show you that you’re the reason why I’m screaming with frustration! You’re the reason why my sorrow lingers because you’re around. You’re the reason my shadow is hiding from me because I portray myself as who you want me to be! We’re all human and far from perfection and we need to stop masking who we are to satisfy others. MY MASK IS OFF! SEE ME BREATHE!
